The Middle Way Temple, New York is a Theravada Buddhist Temple, located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Beautifully connected to Central Park at 86th Street, this peaceful space provides and intimate gateway for meditators of all levels needing a break from hectic city life. Our venue provides an indoor meditation hall and an outdoor meditation bamboo garden. We aim to bring inner peace and better mental health to all New Yorkers through our activities and services. We believe that a better holistic community begins from bettering an individual person’s mind. This extends out to families, friends, and finally the whole community. How to be a better person starts from inside-out, from practicing to reach our own pure mind by meditation, to literally impact the community and finally to the world.
